The Green Bay Packers were underdogs three games in a row and were very comfortable in that role. Now they find themselves in a very unfamiliar position as a favorite. And it’s on the road in front of a National TV audience. From a gambling perspective, that trends horribly. The Giants started the year on a horrible note, going 1-5 and suffering season-ending injuries to quarterbacks Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor. They turned to Tommy DeVito, and although he is not setting the world on fire with his numbers, he is not turning it over and the Giants are starting to win some games. At least, they are playing a lot more competitively. They are at home, in primetime, and Green Bay is coming off their best win of the season against Kansas City. Time for a letdown at MetLife. Green Bay has been gouged on the ground this season, giving up 136 rush yards per game, 30th in the NFL. The Giants will not spray the ball around in the passing game, but they will have a healthy Barkley coming off a bye week, and they will get the ground game going. I Saquon Barkley was held to 46 yards rushing against a strong rush D against New England, but he will find a lot more tread in this one. Green Bay has lost four of five on the road. Ignore the points and take the Giants to win outright…and with those points.
